PM Business Advisors is happy to announce that they have awarded the 2017-2018 Striving for Greatness Accounting & Finance Scholarship to Sylvia Lee from NYU. Sylvia is currently in her Junior Year at NYU, studying to graduate with a B.S./M.S. in Accounting and Finance and a minor in Arabic. She is enrolled in NYU’s CPA Track B.S./M.S. Program, which allows her to graduate with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree and be CPA Eligible in four years and one summer. Slyvia has also been on the NYU’s Deans List in the 2016-2017 academic year.
Sylvia’s Financial Accounting Professor, Amal Shehata (in the picture above) shared with us, “Sylvia is very actively involved on campus, participating in employer-sponsored case challenges that allowed her to gain valuable insight into potential accounting careers. Sylvia is also serving as the Treasurer for the Stern Accounting Society this year, which provides an opportunity to serve as a leader and get deeply involved in community service with her peers.” Sylvia has won first place in the PwC Accounting Case Competition in 2016, and was a participant in the Goldman Sachs Undergraduate Camp in 2017. She has also studied abroad in Prague, Czech Republic, where she volunteered to teach first graders English in addition to her studies and travels.
PM Business Advisors recognizes all of Sylvia’s achievements both inside and out of the classroom. We wish her the best on her educational journey and look forward to seeing great things from her in the future.
